Street Team Coordinator

The Portland LumberJax are seeking a promotionally-minded individual to help in the organization and management of a LumberJax Street Team. This position is being created for college level students who are looking for promotional/marketing experience. Applicants should be willing to work a wide range of hours and have a strong desire to develop a career in the sport industry. This is an opportunity for someone who can think on their feet and is interested in working in an environment that is busy and fast-paced.

Responsibilities include:
•    Organize street team membership
•    Manage targeted street team appearances at public events, with assistance from LumberJax marketing
•    Setting up Jax on-site elements at promotional appearances and interacting with the public

Minimal Requirements:
•    Must be enrolled in a college or university and have the opportunity to use the position for school credit.
•    Must be able to work weekends and holidays, depending on promotional schedule   

Recommended Attributes:
•    Applicants should have an out-going personality and be confident in casually engaging in conversations with the public.

Compensation: Accepted individual will receive college internship credit (or equivalent credit through your college/university). Compensation also includes free LumberJax apparel, season tickets and a continuous discounted rate for all team-related purchases.

The Portland LumberJax of the National Lacrosse League will enter its third season beginning January 2008. This is an indoor box lacrosse team which plays all of its games at the Rose Garden Arena.
